BC Film Commission Hosts Reel Green Forum
As part of Motion Picture Industry Week, the BC Film Commission will be hosting a REEL GREEN FORUM at the Wosk Centre on the afternoon of October 24th, 2007. Film professionals with an interest in "greening" BC's production industry are encouraged to attend.
The purpose of the REEL GREEN BC Forum is to bring together industry stakeholders to share information about existing environmental initiatives that are being implemented in BC's motion picture industry. During the session, Reel Green Partners (community based environmental service groups) will introduce their organizations and the roles they play in environmental stewardship in British Columbia. The BC Film Commission will also showcase the REEL GREEN BC website www.reelgreenbc.ca and provide opportunities for film professionals to discuss and share information on environmental best practices. The Forum will also include a tradeshow component where environmental organizations can promote their services and exchange information and ideas with film professionals from all sectors of the industry. In the spirit of giving back, all participants will be encouraged to donate food items to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. If you would like to attend the event, please email community@bcfilmcommission.com and include your name, phone number, email address, and in what capacity you work within the film industry.
