Ridge Meadows Hospital and Station Street Parking Lot Available for Filming
Over the summer, BCFC has been busy updating its location files and adding new locations to our Digital Library. We are continuing to update and verify our files and have added 40 new locations in August. In addition, we are also actively reshooting some of our key locations to ensure that our files and photos are of the highest quality.

The most recent addition to the library is the ambulatory care unit at Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge.  The unit, which is only open to the public during the week, is now available for filming on weekends. The facility offers a modern space with new equipment and a high tech look. It has a reception area, nursing stations, and wide  corridors. There are treatment rooms that could play as operating rooms and a recovery area that could be used as an ER or ICU.  The unit also has a wide variety of clinics.

The other piece of good news is that the large parking lot north of Pacific Central Station on Main Street is now available for unit parking.  This large  area of undeveloped land was used during the Olympics and will now provide the industry with parking solutions needed to combat the loss of surface parking in the downtown core.  Revenues from the site will benefit the Tapestry Foundation for Healthcare which supports patients and residents at seven hospitals operated by Providence Health Care in Vancouver.
