The BC Film Commission Digital Library Gets Overhaul
The BC Film Commission’s comprehensive digital photo library offers a cost effective and time saving resource for scouts, location managers and other industry professionals to find that "perfect location" for their project. With 7000 location files from the Lower Mainland and 6000 from the rest of the province including the Okanagan, North Island, Greater Victoria, Thompson-Nicola, Sunshine Coast, Kootenay Columbia, Cariboo Chilcotin, Northern BC, Columbia Shuswap and the Fraser Valley, BC’s incredible range of locations are accessible at the click of a mouse.

Over the past few months, the BCFC locations team have reviewed more than 6,700 locations in the Lower Mainland. Each of the files underwent a quality control inspection to make sure that the contact information, subject headings and keywords are accurate. We also made sure that unique properties had appropriate key words attached to help location scouts narrow down their search. In addition, we qualified the availability of most of the homes on record in the Lower Mainland by phone or by follow-up mail. And we always welcome any newer location information or updates that you may uncover when you’re out there scouting.

We hope that these updates will make your location searches more productive. We also want to thank the location scouts who regularly donate location files to help us keep the library current. Examples of new locations that have been recently added include the Vancouver Community College Broadway Campus, Main Street, Cadillac Fairview Properties and the new Delta Burnaby Hotel.
