Production Services
Script breakdowns/Web Photo packages: We provide complete script breakdown location services for Features, Television Series, Pilots, Movies of the Week and Mini-series using our digital photo library as a resource. Customized web packages can be quickly created to assist producers in their search for the best possible looks.
Scouting & Surveys: Based upon script requirements, we may scout specific locations to provide you with a complete presentation. Upon request, we may provide a location scout to facilitate an initial survey for your confirmed project. Producer buys lunch…
Photo Library: Our new digital photo library has an extensive and diverse representation of our incredible province ready to show a variety of residential and urban areas, supernatural vistas of mountains, deserts, rangelands, country roads, forests, futuristic office towers, wild west coast beaches…we even have castles.. more than any screenwriter could dream of.
Community Services
The Community Affairs office at the BC Film Commission has been instrumental in working proactively with the filming community, residential and business owners, and government agencies to ensure BC remains a supportive, film-friendly location centre. This office monitors and manages day-to-day issues that arise as a result of production activity and acts as a facilitator and information source for all levels of government, industry, business and the general public.
Ongoing Support
Producers and Location Managers use both our Production Services and Community Affairs departments regularly for production research and information, location expertise, digital training and technical support. We provide assistance with contact information for production requirements: studio and post production facilities, support services, permitting agencies, labour unions and guilds, immigration and customs.
