The Digital Film Production Program Certificate is a unique, broadbased introductory and professional accelerated learning training program. It is designed for students who want to achieve results in an exciting fast paced atmosphere and immerse themselves in the filmmaking process.

The program focuses on applied training, much like a production company and places emphasis on student’s personal goals through individual attention from our Instructors.

Students work towards individual graduation projects in any genre of their choosing under instructor mentorship and prepare festival packages to accompany their films.

Students receive career guidance and take the BC Film Orientation Industry Certificate. Graduates benefit from our connections to local film organizations and instructor contacts and remain part of our “growing” film community, gain access to incoming job offers and work on past students up coming productions.

The program gives students up-to-date training in all film genres as well as the necessary creative and technical skills to gain entry-level positions in the film industry, pursue independent film projects, continue their education onto advanced programs or for educational purposes.

The Documentary Production Certificate is an intensive, 16 week professional training program, designed for students from diverse disciplinary backgrounds who wish to pursue a career in the challenging world of non fiction film.

The program developed by dedicated award winning documentary filmmakers teaches the creative and technical skills needed to make professional documentary films, using the latest camera and editing software in a production house environment.

Students are mentored through the training process and to achieve this we only take 9 students per intake.

During this intensive and practical program you will collaborate on a variety of projects, shoot and edit films again and again whilst developing your own final project. You will pitch your film to Industry professionals and come away with a graduation film.

Many of our students have gone on to set up their own production companies, receive funding from the National Film Board, develop projects with outside agencies and TV networks.
