PASSPORT TO MARKETS SITE ANNOUNCED


 

 

CINEMART 2012 (at the International Film Festival Rotterdam)
January 29 - February 1, 2012
 
CineMart is the venerable co-production market for feature length films which runs in conjunction with the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Held for over 28 years, Cinemart was the first of its kind and is a leader to similar co-production markets around the world. Directors and/or producers have the opportunity to present their film to over 350 potential co-producers, bankers, funds, sales agents, distributors, and broadcasters. The CineMart organization sets up the one-to-one meetings between the project representatives and potential financiers.

Berlinale Co-Production Market (at the Berlin International Film Festival)
February 12 - 14, 2012
 
Held in conjunction with Berlinale and the European Film Market, The Berlinale Co-Production Market is an exclusive selection based initiative which brings together nearly 500 experienced international producers, film financiers, sales agents, distributors and broadcasters to initiate international co-productions. Only 36 projects worldwide are selected each year. Events are held over 2 and a half days and include pre-arranged individual meetings, case studies, speed dating and other sessions. Since its debut in 2004, over 90 films pitched during the event have subsequently been produced, representing a 40% success rate.

European Film Market (at the Berlin International Film Festival)
February 9 - 17, 2012
 
The European Film Market (EFM) is the market component of Berlinale. The Market brings together producers, distributors, and financiers from around the world and provides a platform for buying and selling and a venue to explore co-production opportunities.  A Market Badge gives access to all screenings, the business centre and Market Club, with priority access to certain screenings at the festival.  You can only order a Market Badge if you are registered in the festival.

Producers Without Borders (at the Berlin International Film Festival)
February 9 - 19, 2012
 
Producers without Borders is a business development initiative organized by Telefilm Canada that will provide 20 Canadian producers who have at least one feature film project in development with access to the Berlinale Co-Production Market as observers.  Producers without Borders provides networking opportunities and a directory of participants that they will widely distribute.
