The Vancouver Sun Student Video Centre is a site to showcase innovative video creation and production by B.C. secondary school students. Teachers from participating B.C. schools will be able to upload student videos to be displayed alongside brief video descriptions, their school name and students' names.
In addition to presenting a publically accessible archive of student videos, the site will also offer a contest component which students and their teachers can choose to enter (with the student's parents' or legal guardian's consent).
Contest runs from Sept. 15, 2011 12:01 a.m. PDT until March 9, 2012 11:59 p.m. PST . Videos uploaded during this time period and tagged for contest entry at time of upload will be eligible for The Student Video Awards.
Award winners will be announced April 16 - 21, 2012, with an Awards Night gala to follow on or about Monday, April 23, 2012. Keep watching this site in the weeks to come for more details on the Awards Night event.
For full information, including eligibility criteria, deadlines and contest rules, please go to www.vancouversun.com/studentvideos.
Entry in the contest is optional. Videos submitted for contest consideration must be tagged accordingly at the point of upload.
