Problem

Car crashes are the number one preventable killer of 19 to 25 year olds.

Solution

Show the world by making a three-minute film addressing one of three key safety issues: speeding, impaired driving, or the use of cellphones/electronic devices while driving.

Eligibility

• 19 to 25 years old
• B.C. residents

Film categories

• excessive speed
• impaired driving (including drugs)
• distracted driving (cell phone use and texting)

Criteria

• 60 to 180 seconds of original material
• any medium – clay animation, animation, live action, etc.
• must address one of three film categories referenced above
• adherence to community standards (no course language, inappropriate sexual content, etc.)

Winners will be announced at a public screening event in February 2011 in Vancouver.
