Emmy nominated writer/producer, Ellen Sandler, shares her practical tools for transforming your ideas into an original pilot, providing you with a template for a TV series proposal. Whether you’re in the early stages of development, or have already written your pilot script, this workshop will help you nail it.

What options do writers have other than simply turning out spec scripts? How do they get onto the writing team of a series or hired as a story editor? What other venues are there in which writers can work? This panel will discuss what strategies you can develop to build your brand and market yourself as a writer for hire.

3:45 pm – 5:15 pm Inside the TV Writers’ Room (Master Class)
What are the do's and don’ts in team writing? How do you keep your ideas in line with the series bible, the showrunner's vision, and members of the team? Learn the steps to becoming an actual "Showrunner."
