British Columbia will harmonize its provincial sales tax (PST) with the federal goods and services tax (GST) effective July 1, 2010. The result will be lower costs of production in BC as the film industry will no longer be required to pay unrecoverable PST.

New Provincial tax credits

• PSTC increased to 33%
• DAVE tax credit bonus increased to 17.5%
• New BC Interactive Digital Media tax credit of 17.5%
